Former miller’s house

Grade II listed thatched residential property in West Sussex

West Sussex

Repairs to a significant grade II listed building believed to have been a former miller’s house, with elements dating from the mid-16th to early-17th century.  The building had stood empty for more than a decade before being purchased by the current owner.  After many years of neglect, it had been added to the District Council’s ‘Heritage at Risk Register’, however progressive repair and reconstruction of the house using traditional materials and techniques have now secured the heritage of the building.

Sensitive alterations have also been carried out during a full refurbishment to address a number of 20thcentury interventions and create a bright family home.
