An award winning conservation repair that was supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund. The project required working closely with specialist consultants and contractors to complete repairs to the tower. There were a series of concerns, but the urgency was compounded by the development of a horizontal crack around the whole tower due to the corrosion of iron reinforcement in the mortar joint. Additional works to the tower included the removal of the base of the stone spire and a new reconfigured flat roof and crenellations. Extensive work to stonework and re-pointing was carried out together with the fixing of the slate louvres in an oak frame.

Improved internal ladder access and lighting was introduced, alongside substantial repairs to the clock and bells. In addition, design work was implemented to declutter the west end of the church by designing bespoke pull-out oak cabinets to accommodate a kitchenette and crèche facilities. Further joinery items are in the process of being installed.

New glass doors etched and designed by Mel Howse have also been introduced to both the north and south porches plus the west end.
