Planning permission has been granted for the improvement of facilities at St Mary’s Church, introducing WCs and a small kitchenette. The annexe proposed is minimal and self-effacing, clad in materials that will weather down and blend in with the colour of the stone and sit comfortably in its rural setting. It is discreetly tucked in at the rear of the church and subservient to the church in scale, mass and appearance and the scheme seeks to respect the listed building and its surroundings.
