Reordering works involved opening up the west end of the church through the removal of the central part of the mezzanine floor and the reintroduction of the stone steps to the west entrance. New glazed doors with an etched design by Mel Howse were inserted into the west entrance to bring light into the church. Further measures are being taken to enhance the west end of the church with a new platform lift to be inserted adjacent to the new stone steps and handrails to the north doors.
Externally two phases of repair work to the tower masonry have been carried out with Heritage Lottery funding.
A roof repair grant has just been received to re-roof the vestry and to introduce some much needed localised drainage. A further application for lottery funding is to be made in relation to the west window and a comprehensive drainage scheme to the perimeter of the church.
